God Bless America

This is a picture of my Great Nephew "Daniel Mikol" from Ohio taken in Oct. 2001. He was 18 and 1/2 months old in this picture. Funny isn't it? How a child this young could sense the love of our flag!
What is his lil' mind thinking?

In Memory of the innocent people we lost on September 11, 2001 and to their family and friends, or all who was so deeply affected by this senseless tragedy, and most of all to the New York City Firefighters and Volunteers, who also lost their lives doing the job they love. This page has been very difficult for me to do. As you all know it's been a  year already and the most difficult is finding my own words to describe how it has affected me and even working on this page I still cannot find words to explain how this cowardly act of tiresome makes me feel. It's beyond words!

These terrorists need to be stopped. We will look far and wide, we will not let these cowards hide. We are numb at the bones, but our country is United we don't stand alone! Being a poet for many years, I'm at lost for words. Please for our country say a prayer.

Please take the time to look at Page 2 and please email me or sign my guestbook letting me know what you think. It would mean a lot to me.

C'mon America! We need to stick together! Let's Roll!

Love

In Memory of September 11, 2001

A year has passed our sadness we all still share, to lose many innocent people, it's quite hard to bare.

No reason no warning, you took away so much of loving friends and family who will ever be so touched.

A sadness to the little ones who will miss their mom or dad forever a heartache for the new born ones who met their parents never.

Our world will pull together their fear we will not tolerate, to hurt our innocent people our country is irate!

Let's pull together America and show them we are one! Because our American colors, they will not run.

We are one country, we love our land. Terrorists is one thing, our country can't stand.

Our tears and our sadness, you may think it's all fun, but once again, "Our Colors Don't Run!"

THE LADY

I wonder what she thought
As she stood there, strong and tall.
She couldn't turn away,
She was forced to watch it all.

Did she long to offer comfort
As her country bled?
With her arm forever frozen
High above her head.

She could not shield her eyes
She could not hide her face
She just stared across the water
Keeping Freedom's place.

The smell of smoke and terror
Somehow reduced her size
So small within the harbor
But still we recognized...

How dignified and beautiful
On a day so many died
I wonder what she thought,
And I know she must have cried.
